CM of Rajasthan praises Kota's progress

Kota, Sep 14 (UNI) Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, along with many of his cabinet colleagues, after visiting the places of tourist importance in Kota, took steps towards the tourism city of Kota by being a part of a colorful cultural festival organised here.

The cultural festival was organised on Wednesday night.

This colorful cultural festival was organised in the Maharao Umed Singh Stadium on Wednesday night under the chief hospitality of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, in which more than 250 folk artists from across the state presented Rajasthani culture by giving performances on folk songs.

State Autonomous Government Minister Shanti Dhariwal, Education Minister Bulaki Das Kalla, and Industry Minister Shakuntala Rawat, former Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasara, chairpersons of various board corporations, and MLAs witnessed Kota's progress towards becomimg a tourist city.

At the function organised at Maharao Ummed Singh Stadium, grand cultural programs were presented by Veena Sansthan.

A group of folk artists presented the culture and splendour of Rajasthan and started the program with the folk song 'Yeh Dharti Dhora Ri', which embodied the characteristics of Rajasthan. Manpreet Singh, who presented the song 'Desh Ki Dhadkan Kota', highlighting the characteristics of Kota, enlivened the characteristics of Kota by presenting his vocals.

The group of artists invited the tourists to visit Kota through the folk song 'Padharon Mhare Desh, showcasing the hospitality of the tourists.

In the series of folk dances and folk songs, a grand presentation of Chirmi folk dance, Kalbelia folk dance, Ghoomar folk dance, and Brij ka Mayur folk dance was made to realise the progress of Kota vis-a-vis tourism.

The citizens of Kota were elated after seeing the presentation of different styles of folk dances and folk songs on the same stage.

With the presentation of each song, the citizens encouraged the artists by clapping.

The grand finale of the ceremony was marked with colorful fireworks.

On this occasion, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Pratibha Singh, Inspector General of Police Prasanna Kumar Khamsara, District Collector O.P. Bunkar, Mayor Kota North Manju Mehra, South Rajeev Aggarwal, BISUK Vice President Ravindra Tyagi, and State General Secretary of Congress Amit Dhariwal, along with public representatives, officers, and elders participated, A large number of city citizens too were present.
