HP to use drone for watching traffic, rescue, Wildlife & minning

Shimla, Feb 17 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Government decided to deploy drones for watching traffic management, tracing and rescue of stranded trekkers, illegal mining and monitoring of Wildlife and forest in the state.
This was stated by Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu late evening Thursday. He said there was a dire need to seriously consider how the services of various government departments could be expedited by using modern technology. This will also benefit the people at large as the technology will also play a pivotal role in health and other sectors.
Drones could also be used to spread micronutrients in the agriculture sector.This would not only save time but will also ensure the anticipated results. Mr Sukhu said the world at large has entered an era of advanced technology and it was the need of the hour that the government adopts, and practices modern technology for rapid growth and efficiency in all sectors. The state government is committed to provide better services to the people of the state by adding new technology in future, he said.
