New Delhi, Oct 11 (UNI) In his maiden visit to India, President of Mongolia H.E. Khurelsukh Ukhnaa will meet President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The visit, scheduled from October 13 to 16, is being undertaken at the invitation of the Indian President.
A statement from the Ministry of External Affairs said the Mongolian President will be accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising Cabinet Ministers, Members of Parliament, senior officials, business leaders, and cultural representatives.
This will be President Khurelsukh’s first visit to India in his capacity as Head of State of Mongolia.
During the visit, a banquet will be hosted by President Murmu in honour of the visiting dignitaries.
President Khurelsukh is expected to hold talks with Prime Minister Modi and review the full spectrum of bilateral relations.
Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar are also scheduled to meet the visiting dignitary, the release stated.
Diplomatic relations between India and Mongolia were established in 1955.
Over the past seven decades, the two countries have developed a close and multifaceted partnership, anchored in shared cultural and spiritual links and democratic values.
The collaboration spans defence and security, parliamentary exchanges, development partnerships, energy, mining, information technology, education, healthcare, and cultural cooperation.
India and Mongolia are strategic partners, spiritual neighbours, and “third neighbours.” The forthcoming State Visit will provide an opportunity for the leadership of both countries to review progress in bilateral relations, set the vision for strengthening the strategic partnership, and exchange views on regional and global issues of mutual interest.
