Jerusalem, June 30 (UNI) Israeli lawmakers on Thursday approved the bill to dissolve parliament, triggering new elections for the fifth time within three and a half years, the officials said. This comes after Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's cross-partisan coalition lost its majority in the parliament only a year after taking office. The dissolution legislation was passed by 92-0. According to Times of Israel, Israel will head to the polls on November 1, with Yair Lapid entering the role of interim prime minister at midnight. On Wednesday, Bennett had said that he would not be running in the coming elections.
