Jammu, May 22 (UNI) A soldier suffered injuries in an ensuing gunfight between security forces and terrorists on Thursday in Chatroo area of Kishtwar district in Jammu and Kashmir.

Official sources here said that a gunfight broke out between terrorists, believed to be 3 to 4 in number, and a joint team of police and army in the Singhpura area of Chatroo.

"One soldier suffered injuries in the gunfight and has been evacuated," they said.

Meanwhile Jammu Jammu-based White Knight Corps posted on X, "Op Trashi : Contact has been established with terrorists during a joint operation with J&K Police at Chhatru, in Kishtwar today morning."

"Additional troops have been inducted, and operations are ongoing to neutralize the terrorists," it further posted.
