KTR hails indigenous turbojet engine milestone, says Hyderabad strengthens aerospace leadership

Hyderabad, Aug 4 (UNI) Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K T Rama Rao (KTR) on Tuesday congratulated Hyderabad-based Azad Engineering and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) on the successful delivery of India's first indigenous 350 kg thrust-class turbojet engine, calling it another rare honour for the city.
In a post on social media platform X, KTR described the achievement as the result of a decade of dedicated effort and said it marked a significant milestone in India's journey towards self-reliance in the defence sector.
He said the successful production of the indigenous turbojet engine reflects the remarkable progress made by Hyderabad's aerospace and precision engineering ecosystem and serves as a major boost to the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
Calling it a new record for Hyderabad, KTR said the achievement further strengthens the city's reputation as a world-class aerospace and defence manufacturing hub.
He extended his congratulations to the teams of Azad Engineering and DRDO for accomplishing the historic feat.
