New Delhi, Oct 7 (UNI) Rashtriya Janata Dal chief and former railway minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and his sons Tejashwi Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav were on Monday granted bail by a Delhi court in the land-for-jobs money laundering case.

Special Judge Vishal Gogne granted bail to the former Bihar Chief Minister and sons on a personal bond of Rs one lakh each.

The court had earlier issued summons to Lalu Prasad and his sons after the Enforcement Directorate filed a supplementary chargesheet.

The ED case was filed after the Central Bureau of Investigation launched a probe against the former railway minister for alleged irregularities during his tenure in the Union Cabinet between 2004 and 2009.

The probe agencies allege that during Lalu Prasad’s tenure as minister plots were gifted to his family members in exchange for Group D jobs given in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur-based West Central Railway zone.
