Modi govt failed to fulfill its promises Priyanka

Rae Bareli (UP), May 10 (UNI) Congress national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi on Friday took a dig at the Modi government and said that it has not fulfilled its promises as earlier it had said Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas and now it is saying developed India then why has it not done development till now.
While campaigning in favour of Congress candidate from Amethi Kishori Lal Sharma in Salon, Priyanka said, "So what has this government done in 10 years? In this way it is misleading the general public. If this government remains in power in the future, there will be no elections and democracy will end."
She said that BJP do not discuss the promises made by them, but are talking about Congress manifesto to mislead the general public. "PM Modi says that Congress will steal jewels, buffaloes and grab houses. When Congress has been in power for so many years, then it did not do such petty politics, so why will it do so now?" she said.
She said that the public has also understood Modi ji and will not be misled by him. She said that this government wants to end democracy, people's right to vote and reservation by changing the Constitution. "We will not let this happen," he said.
The Congress leader said her elder brother Rahul Gandhi took out a Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir so that he could know the problems of the people, whereas PM Modi, who is holding such a high position, did not even go to the house of any poor in Varanasi.
She said that the Congress in its manifesto has promised that about Rs 8,000 that a total of Rs 1 lakh will be deposited in the account of the eldest woman of the poor family annually. "Apart from this, the honorarium of the women of Asha Bahuye Anganwadi will be increased and comprehensive arrangements are also made in the manifesto to remove unemployment," she said.
Priyanka said that there are many schemes for farmers, youth and the poor, in which if there is loss in the fields, it will be paid within thirty days. "Besides, the minimum support price will also be fixed. A fund of Rs 5,000 crore will be brought for the youth, in which they will get the facility if they want to start any employment," she said.
