Nitish announces Ex-Gratia for Bihar victims in Chhattisgarh steel plant blast

Patna, Jan 23 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday announced an ex-gratia for state residents who lost their lives in a blast at the Real Ispat and Steel plant in Bakulahi village, Chhattisgarh.
Describing the incident as extremely tragic, the Chief Minister expressed deep sorrow over the death of Bihar’s workers in the accident.
He announced that the families of the deceased workers from Bihar would be provided an ex-gratia amount of Rs 2 lakh each from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Additionally, Rs 50,000 each will be given to Bihar workers who were injured in the blast.
He also wished for the speedy recovery of those injured in the accident.
The Chief Minister directed the Resident Commissioner in New Delhi to coordinate with the Chhattisgarh government to ensure proper medical care for the injured and to make arrangements for bringing the mortal remains of the deceased workers back to Bihar.
