Patna, Jul 6 (UNI) The Election Commission ( EC) issued the notification for the by-election to the Bankipur Assembly constituency on Monday.
With the issuance of the notification, the nomination process formally commenced for the bypoll to the seat.
According to the office of the Chief Electoral Officer, candidates can file their nomination papers until July 13. Scrutiny of nominations will be carried out on July 14, while the last date for withdrawal of candidature is July 16.
Polling for the Bankipur Assembly by-election will be held on July 30. The counting of votes is scheduled for August 3, and the entire election process will be completed by August 4.
The by-election has been necessitated following the resignation of Nitin Nabin from the Bihar Legislative Assembly, resulting in the vacancy at the Bankipur Assembly seat.
