Over 2.25 cr farmers in UP benefit from PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yogi

Lucknow, Oct 5 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday released the 18th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi from Washim in Maharashtra.
The initiative benefited 2.25 crore farmers in Uttar Pradesh as part of a total of 9.4 crore farmers across the country, with Rs 4985.49 crore credited to the accounts of farmers in the state.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his gratitude to Modi for this generous support to the farmers of UP during the auspicious occasion of Sharadiya Navratri.
During the event, Modi transferred the 18th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, sending Rs 4,985.49 crore to the accounts of 2,25,91,884 farmers in the state.
Simultaneously, 9.4 crore farmers across the country benefited from a total transfer of Rs 20,552 crore. He had previously distributed the 17th installment on June 18 from his parliamentary constituency of Varanasi, after winning the Lok Sabha election.
Following the transfer of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi funds to farmers' accounts, CM Yogi expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister. He also shared his appreciation on his social media account, X.
The CM wrote, "The 18th installment of the 'Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi' was released from Maharashtra today by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is dedicated to enhancing the lives of our ‘annadata’ farmers, fostering their self-reliance and prosperity."
He said, "More than 9.4 crore farmers across the country, including over 2.25 crore farmers in Uttar Pradesh, have benefited from this installment, with over Rs 20,000 crore transferred under this welfare scheme that provides essential financial support to farmers."
Yogi said, "On behalf of all the farmer brothers and sisters of Uttar Pradesh, we express our heartfelt gratitude to you (PM), for this boon-like gift on the auspicious occasion of Sharadiya Navratri!."
