Sat Paul Sharma sworn in as Rajya Sabha member

New Delhi, Nov 6 (UNI) Sat Paul Sharma was administered the oath today as a newly elected member of the Rajya Sabha by Vice-President P Radhakrishnan at the Parliament House. The ceremony was attended by prominent dignitaries, including union ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh.
Representing Jammu and Kashmir, Sharma took the oath in Hindi, reaffirming his commitment to serving the people and strengthening the nation's democratic institutions.
His election is viewed as a significant development, particularly given his strong background as a chartered accountant, seasoned politician, and former cabinet minister in the Jammu & Kashmir government.
Sharma, a prominent BJP leader and former president of the party's Jammu and Kashmir unit, had also served as a member of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly. His victory marks a significant milestone for the BJP in Jammu and Kashmir, especially in the post-abrogation of Article 370 political landscape.
