Kolkata, July 11 (UNI) The Mamata Banerjee led Trinamool Congress (TMC) is heading for massive victory in all three-tier Panchayat elections as results are pouring in from several districts as the ruling party secured wins in 16,330 gram panchayat (GP) seats, followed by main opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) took 3790 seats, according to State Election Commission on Tuesday.

Out of a total of 341 Panchayat Samitis (PS), the All India Trinamool Congress is leading in 28 as the results are awaited.

The counting of votes in the violence-hit panchayat and rural body elections is currently underway for Saturday's poll and repolling to 697 seats on Monday.



The ruling regime is dominant in all three - Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Samities and the Zilla Parishads.
